At Rise and Shine, tuition reflects the true cost of providing high-quality, licensed infant and early childhood care that meets and exceeds California Community Care Licensing (Title 22) requirements.

We believe families deserve transparency—not just about what they pay, but why.

Not all childcare programs are structured the same. Our tuition reflects intentional choices that prioritize safety, stability, and quality of care.

Our fees are higher because we invest in:

Lower Child-to-Staff Ratios

We staff above minimum licensing requirements whenever possible. Lower ratios mean:

• More individual attention for each child
• Safer supervision 
• Greater emotional responsiveness, especially for infants

Our caregivers meet required qualifications and participate in ongoing training. This includes:

• Early childhood education requirements 
• Health and safety training 
• Infant-specific care and development standards
   

Experienced, stable staff require sustainable wages and benefits.

To maintain continuity of care, we prioritize:

• Predictable schedules 
• Competitive compensation 
• Benefits that support long-term staff retention
   

This stability directly benefits children and families.

Tuition supports the cost of essential items required for infant care, which may include:

• Diapers and wipes 
• Food and feeding supplies 
• Sanitation and hygiene materials 
• Classroom and developmental materials
   

These costs are significant and ongoing.

Operating in full compliance with Title 22 requires:

• Additional staffing 
• Documentation and administrative oversight 
• Facility maintenance and safety standards 
• Ongoing regulatory compliance
   

These costs are often not visible—but they are essential.

Tuition is based on:

• Child’s age  
• Schedule (days and hours enrolled)
   

Tuition is charged regardless of attendance, including absences due to illness, vacation, or holidays.

The following fees may apply:

• Registration / Enrollment Fee
  There is an annual, non-refundable fee due upon acceptance of an enrollment offer and due every July thereafter. This fee is pro-rated for enrollment after July or graduation before June.
   
• Application Fee
  This is a one-time fee.
   

All fees are non-refundable.

• Tuition is due as outlined in the enrollment agreement 
• Late or missed payments may result in: 
  • Late fees 
  • Suspension of care 
  • Termination of enrollment
     

Returned or declined payments may incur additional fees.

• Tuition is based on the enrolled schedule, not attendance 
• Schedule change requests must be submitted in writing 
• Changes are subject to availability, staffing ratios, and licensing capacity 
• Approved changes may result in tuition adjustments

• Enrollment of subsidized children may be limited by regulatory caps 
• Families are responsible for any tuition not covered by assistance 
• Subsidy approval does not guarantee immediate placement

• Tuition is charged during scheduled closures, including holidays and vacations 
• Closures mandated by licensing or public health authorities will follow applicable guidance

• Written notice is required to withdraw 
• Notice periods are outlined in the enrollment agreement 
• Failure to provide proper notice may result in continued tuition charges
