Support Quality Infant Care in Sonoma County

Our mission is to create safe, nurturing, developmentally rich environments where infants and toddlers are known, loved, and supported as they grow. 

We believe every child deserves attentive care, meaningful interaction, and a learning environment designed specifically for their earliest years of development. 

After voluntarily relinquishing our state contract, Rise and Shine transitioned to a private-pay model while continuing to accept third-party payments through programs such as 4Cs, RCCS, and similar family-support agencies.

While this transition allowed us to continue serving families, the cost of providing high-quality infant care remains significant. Infant care requires more staffing, more supervision, more training, and more individualized attention than many other forms of child care.

Rise and Shine maintains a low teacher-to-infant ratio of 1:3 or lower, allowing our teachers to provide the careful, responsive care that infants and toddlers need. We also work to provide competitive wages and benefits to retain qualified, caring, and highly trained teachers.

As the costs of staffing, rent, insurance, utilities, food, classroom materials, safety training, and operations continue to rise, those expenses are often passed on to families. Your support helps us reduce that burden and continue meeting the needs of Sonoma County families with infants.

Unless otherwise specified by the donor, donations will be directed to the Rise and Shine location with the greatest need.

Rise and Shine has partnered with Josiah Rich Ministries, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 68-0411120, to receive charitable donations in support of our family assistance and infant care mission.

Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. We recommend that donors consult their own tax advisor regarding their specific donation and tax situation.
