Choosing a childcare program is one of the most important investments a family will make. At Rise & Shine Child Care Centers, our child care tuition reflects far more than just care; it represents a commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education, individualized attention, and a nurturing environment where children are known, loved, and inspired to thrive.
For over 8 years, Rise & Shine has partnered with Sonoma County families by offering high-quality infant, toddler, and now preschool education built upon research, relationship-based care, and developmentally appropriate practices. Our goal is simple: to provide children with the strongest possible foundation during the years when the brain develops more rapidly than at any other time in life.
From a baby's first smile to a preschooler's readiness for kindergarten, every experience is intentionally designed to foster curiosity, confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Because enrollment options are intentionally limited to preserve the quality of our program, we encourage families to review our payment policy before scheduling a tour. This allows families to determine whether Rise & Shine is the right fit for both their child's needs and their family's budget.
Relationship-Based Care
Children learn best when they feel safe, secure, and deeply connected. Our educators prioritize building trusting relationships with every child, fostering environments where they can develop confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
Exceptional Teacher-to-Child Ratios
Our classroom ratios consistently exceed California licensing requirements, allowing teachers to provide individualized attention and responsive caregiving. This ensures meaningful developmental support throughout the day, a crucial factor for parents when considering child care tuition.
Experienced Early Childhood Professionals
Our team is composed of passionate early childhood educators who understand child development and are dedicated to offering responsive, engaging, and nurturing learning experiences for every child, reflecting our commitment to quality in child care.
Developmentally Appropriate Learning
Children learn through purposeful play, exploration, discovery, and meaningful relationships. Every classroom is thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity while supporting each child's unique developmental journey, making our program a valuable choice for families exploring enrollment options.
A Proprietary Curriculum
Our exclusive The Adventures of McDuff & Friends® curriculum seamlessly integrates literacy, language, STEM, sensory exploration, creativity, music, movement, social-emotional development, and hands-on learning activities that grow with children from infancy through preschool.
Kindergarten Readiness
Our preschool program fosters the academic, social, emotional, and executive functioning skills essential for a confident transition into kindergarten, while maintaining the joy, wonder, and creativity of early childhood. We also provide a clear payment policy to make our programs accessible for all families.
Our child care program boasts low teacher-to-child ratios that exceed California state requirements, ensuring that every child receives the attention they need. We have experienced and caring early childhood educators dedicated to fostering a supportive environment. For families enrolling infants and toddlers, we provide diapers and wipes daily, as well as infant formula for both breastfeeding and formula-fed infants, along with support for breastmilk storage and individualized feeding routines. Nutritional meals and snacks that are CACFP-approved are prepared according to each child's age and developmental needs, ensuring a healthy diet. Daily educational experiences promote language, literacy, mathematics, STEM, science, sensory exploration, creativity, music, art, dramatic play, fine and gross motor development, and social-emotional learning, all within a proprietary curriculum tailored specifically for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed classrooms encourage exploration and independence, complemented by outdoor learning and gross motor experiences in secure, age-appropriate environments. Families receive daily communication about meals, naps, diapering, learning experiences, activities, and developmental milestones. Consistent routines foster emotional security, confidence, independence, and healthy development, while individualized learning experiences recognize each child's unique strengths, interests, abilities, and pace of development. We emphasize ongoing collaboration between families, teachers, and administrators to support each child's success and ensure transparency in child care tuition and enrollment options, along with our payment policy. Our sanitized classrooms, toys, learning materials, and equipment are maintained throughout the day, all within a warm, welcoming community where every child is respected, encouraged, challenged, and celebrated.

Infants require significantly more individualized care and lower teacher-to-child ratios than older children. Our infant program is designed to provide responsive caregiving, individualized routines, developmental support, and a safe, nurturing environment during the most important years of growth and development.
As children grow and become more independent, state licensing regulations allow for different classroom ratios. This enables us to reduce tuition while continuing to provide the same high standards of care, safety, and developmental support.
Tuition includes diapers and wipes for infants and toddlers, formula for formula-fed infants, nutritious CACFP-approved meals and snacks, our proprietary curriculum, engaging daily learning experiences, age-appropriate educational materials, outdoor exploration, regular family communication through our parent app, and exceptional individualized care from experienced early childhood educators who support each child's unique developmental journey.
Half-day enrollment is available exclusively for our preschool program. Our infant and toddler programs require full-day enrollment because California's teacher-to-child ratios are among the strictest in the nation, and maintaining consistent staffing is essential to providing high-quality care.
Families are always welcome to pick up their child earlier than their scheduled day if desired, but full-day enrollment allows us to ensure stable staffing, predictable routines, and the individualized attention every child deserves.
Yes. We currently offer 3-day, 4-day, and 4½-day full-day schedules for our infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Half-day enrollment is also available for preschool-aged children only, subject to availability.
Your tuition reserves your child's space and ensures consistent staffing to meet California's strict teacher-to-child ratio requirements. Families are welcome to use their enrolled schedule in the way that best meets their needs. Children may arrive later, leave earlier, or attend for only part of the day; however, tuition is based on the reserved schedule rather than the number of hours attended.
This approach allows us to provide stable teacher schedules, consistent routines, and the high-quality, relationship-based care that supports children's healthy development while offering families flexibility within their reserved enrollment.
Yes. We proudly accept several child care assistance programs, including 4Cs, RCCS, and other approved funding sources.
Families receiving child care assistance are welcomed and valued members of our community. Eligibility for subsidies does not affect enrollment opportunities, waitlist placement, classroom assignment, or the quality of care provided. All children receive the same nurturing, high-quality experience, individualized attention, and developmental support regardless of their family's funding source.
Space is limited in our infant, toddler, and preschool programs, and availability varies throughout the year. To provide the highest quality care and maintain our low teacher-to-child ratios, enrollment is intentionally limited. We encourage families to contact us as early as possible to discuss availability, schedule a tour, and secure a space for their child.
Yes. We maintain waitlists for our infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Because enrollment is based on children's ages, classroom capacities, teacher-to-child ratios, requested schedules, and the needs of currently enrolled families, our waitlists are not operated on a strict first-come, first-served basis.
When an opening becomes available, we carefully consider several factors, including the child's age, the requested enrollment schedule, classroom availability, developmental readiness, and overall enrollment balance. This approach allows us to maintain appropriate licensing ratios, provide continuity of care, and ensure the best possible classroom environment for every child.
As a result, families who join the waitlist later may occasionally receive an enrollment offer before families who joined earlier if their child's age, schedule, or program needs are a better match for a specific opening. We encourage families to join the waitlist as early as possible and to keep us informed of any changes to their preferred start date or schedule.
Tuition is billed monthly and is due on the first day of each month.
We accept checks, cash, ProCare payments, Venmo, Apple Pay, and approved third-party funding sources.
Your tuition reserves your child's space in our program and allows us to maintain consistent staffing, classroom ratios, and high-quality care. Because staffing and operational costs remain the same regardless of attendance, tuition is based on enrollment rather than daily attendance.
Tuition reserves your child's enrolled space and is not based on attendance. For this reason, refunds or credits are not provided for absences, vacations, holidays, or illness.
Rise & Shine specializes in exceptional early childhood care and education for children from infancy through preschool. Our intentionally small class sizes, low teacher-to-child ratios, relationship-based approach, proprietary curriculum, experienced educators, and developmentally appropriate practices create an environment where every child is known, nurtured, challenged, and inspired to thrive.
We are committed to building the strong developmental foundation children need for success in school and beyond.
Yes. A tour is a required step in our enrollment process.
We believe choosing an early childhood program is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and we want every family to have the opportunity to visit our center before making that commitment. During your tour, you'll explore our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms (as applicable), learn about our educational philosophy and relationship-based approach, review program policies, and have plenty of time to ask questions.
Tours also give us the opportunity to learn more about your child and your family's needs while ensuring that Rise & Shine is the right fit for everyone. This collaborative approach helps create a strong partnership between families and our educators from the very beginning.
