Experience the difference with our exceptional child care program. Our team of qualified educators provides a fun and stimulating environment for your child's growth and development.
The Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) assessment instrument is designed for teachers to observe, document, and reflect on the learning, development, and progress of children, birth through 12 years of age, who are enrolled in early care and education programs and before-and after-school programs.
The DRDP system documents the progress made by children and families and serves to increase program quality standards.
Rise and Shine utilizes The Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS) for all of its facilities.
2024 Ratings
Humboldt Street ITERS Score = 7
Montgomery Village ITERS Score = 6.4
The ITERS is designed to assess programs for children from birth to 30 months of age, the age group that is most vulnerable physically, mentally, and emotionally and therefore contains items to assess provision in the environment for the protection of children's health and safety, appropriate stimulation through language and activities, and warm, supportive interaction.
'Environment' is a broad sense and guides the assessment in the observation of the arrangement of space both indoors and outdoors, the materials and activities offered to the children, the supervision and interactions (including language) that occur in the classroom, and the schedule of the day, including routines and activities. The support offered to parents and staff is also included.
The environment is evaluated by 6 sections and 39 sub-sections with a total of 467 descriptors.
Each item is rated on a 7-point scale ranging from
Excellent (7) to 1 (Inadequate).
